Me, As A Learner

  • What motivates you to learn?
  • I am motivated to learn when I have the opportunity to work with others, study topics that I am interested in, and when I see the connection to real world.
  • What must you have in order for your learning to be successful?
  • In order for my learning to be successful, I need clear standards and expectations, excellent models, an intimidating-free environment.

  • What causes you to pay attention, even if the topic you’re studying is not your favorite?
  • I pay attention when I am engaged and when I know I have to be accountable for what I learn.
  • What makes you shut down?
  • I shut down when I am not engaged and when the topic has no relevance.

  • To avoid these conditions, offer opportunities for engagement and provide relevance for topics being studied.
